We have been making the most of our fabulous pop-up library this week by visiting it and chilling out on the cozy beanbags with lots of amazing books!
This is a super area of our school that we are lucky to have thanks to the efforts of one of our teachers Siobhán in securing important funding for us.
We look forward to having many more weeks of enjoyable reading at the pop up library!
Aistear resumed in 1st Class this week and it was a welcome part of our day that brought excitement, fun and learning.
The children are learning about themselves and how they live through structured play involving work with lego, playgdough, sand, dramatic play and lots more! Check out some pictures below of the children having a wonderful time during Aistear!
Today saw us hold our election for our school committees and the excitement was palpable! So many children (and mums and dads!) put lots of effort into making amazing posters which secured many of the children a place on a school committee this year!
Congratulations to Sam, Stefania, Emma and Franciszek in the Maple Class and to Dawson, Helena, Mattie and Benjamin in the Elm Class! Best of luck representing your class at Student Council, Green Schools, School Garden and Active School!
We are delighted to be back in school for a brand new year and we have been so surprised to see the growth that has happened in our school gardens over the summer months!
We went outside and explored the geodome where we found peppers, courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes, strawberries and lots more growing steady inside. We inspected the raised beds and found the potatoes and pumpkins to be growing very well and we were so surprised to see our wildflower garden in full bloom! Lots of very lucky bees and butterflies are making their home here this year.
Check out the pictures below to see us exploring and having lots of fun!
